Milligan College Description:
Milligan College is a small Christian liberal arts college located on a 181-acre campus in Northeast Tennessee. Elizabethton and Johnson City are both nearby. Outdoor lovers will find lots to do in this picturesque area of the Appalachian Mountains. Milligan students come from 40 states and ten countries. The college takes its Christian identity seriously, and the core curriculum includes an interdisciplinary humanities program and Bible courses. The college has a largely undergraduate focus, and students can choose from 25 bachelor's degree and three master's degree programs. Among undergraduates, majors in business and nursing are most popular. Academics are supported by a 13 to 1 student / faculty ratio. In athletics, the Milligan Buffaloes compete in the NAIA Appalachian Athletic Conference for 20 intercollegiate sports. Popular choices include swimming, baseball, volleyball, cycling, tennis, dance, and softball.
